Born and raised User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( Dec 07, 2019) While Bloomsburg has its' good points, the downtown has eroded due to the overwhelming negative influence of the University. College housing shortages have led to rundown residential areas near campus. Admission standards are low, so we get what we get. A good selection of res ...Read More taurants, but crime continues to climb and shows no signs of abating. Overdose rates are alarming. I no longer live within town limits. The streets are a nightmare in winter in town if you brave any street but Main, Market, or East. Recent action on the never ending in-town flooding has resulted in the destruction of the beauty of one of the best parts of Bloomsburg, the town park. School ratings are so-so. A Great Small College Town - Bloomsburg, PA User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I have lived in Bloomsburg, PA for well over fifteen years. It is home to Bloomsburg University. I actually graduated from Bloomsburg and never left. It is a really cute college town. My whole family loves it here. It is quiet and the people are usually friendly.

There is a m

The art that is sold in some of the little shops is just amazing. The town holds a lot of cultural events. I always enjoy taking my family to the events held in town.

Outdoor activities are really big here. Lots of people like to go hiking, biking, and kayaking. In the summer, the town park has free concerts. I love taking my family to them. We pack a picnic, it is so much fun! Bloomsburg has a great small town feel. Read Less
