I lived in Bartlesville for a couple years before moving out of state. Overall, it's a nice city to live in but it felt limited in a couple of ways. The closest major city is Tulsa, which is maybe an hour away. You'll probably be able to find a decent job in Bartlesville, but the prospects may not be as promising as they'd be if you were closer to another big city.

On the other hand, real estate in Bartlesville is reasonable and you won't have to break your bank account to purchase a home. The crime is also a little lower than the state average, and the public schools seem to be decent as well. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, there's a good number of gyms to choose from. One of the best areas in the city is Johnstone Park. It's a good place to enjoy a sunny weekend and maybe even have a picnic.
