Living in Adelphi was an interesting experience because I came in contact with people from many different cultures. The area is pretty quiet and mainly working class and retired people reside there. The school system is decent and there's quite a few elementary schools in the area. There isn't much to do in the community, but neighboring towns have plenty of shopping and dining options.
Most residents work in nearby communities or commute to big cities like Baltimore. Public transportation is available throughout the community and there's a subway station as well. Drivers have quick and easy access to major roads and highways when traveling to faraway places. The weather is usually mild during the four seasons but cold spells and heatwaves do occur.
The housing in Adelphi is a mix of garden style and high rise apartments, as well as single family homes. The prices are fair and there are a few nice neighborhoods that are peaceful and quiet. The best areas in Adelphi are next to neighboring College Park, along Metzerott Road and Adelphi Road. There's a nice park and a small shopping center in this part of the town.
