This serene setting sits on White Rock Lake. The Arboretum holds seasonal outdoor events all year long. There are concerts and festivals, plus you can choose to eat indoors or outdoors. There is the DeGolyer House restaurant for indoor eating, and then there is the Lula Mae Slaughter Dining Terrace which overlooks downtown Dallas.
In May of 2013 the Dallas Arboretum will be opening a new Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden, designed for preschool to middle school children. The laboratory is eight acres with seventeen outdoor and indoor galleries. Each gallery is designed around a science theme with hand on exhibits.
The Arboretum is open daily throughout the year from 9am to 5pm. Ticket costs are $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for senior citizens, $9.00 for children, with children under three free. There is an onsite parking fee of $10.00.

Adult admission is $16, youth ages 6-18 are $13, and children 5 and under are free ($4 if they wish to have their own audio device). Senior adult admission ages 65+ is $14.
