Woodinville: Family friendly & High Quality of Life User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 03, 2021) Woodinville stretches over a large area from North Kirkland all the way East to Duvall. It has a compact downtown area with all the shopping you would need including a very large regionally well-known Nursery called Molbak's plus grocery stores, Target, Rite-Aid, Alta, Old Navy, ...Read More World Market, Gluten Free grocery etc. Close to downtown is the area with a cluster of Wineries and restaurants, very popular with locals and visitors, next to the river and beautiful open river valley. Surrounding downtown is the only area with apartments and condos, what Woodinville is well known for is large lots and beautiful single family homes. The area closest to Kirkland/Redmond is Hollywood Hill which has large lots and horse acres. the top of the hill is very sunny and Hollywood Hill is laidback and quiet but 5-10 mins to the wineries and downtown.

As you drive East from downtown toward Duvall the lots get more wooded and many are hidden down charming lanes. The schools are served by the NorthShore school district one of the best in the state. Woodinville is best for people who like space, privacy, friendly neighbors, gardening, horses, dogs, wildlife and nature friendly suburbs. You are still only 30 minutes to Seattle and 20-30 minutes to Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland. New developments downtown are well designed and attractive and a new area called The Farmstead will add even more restaurants, retail and hotels to the wineries.
