It's hard to say if I like living in Willowbrook or not. I've been here for a few years now, and I moved here to live with my Mom and take care of her. So on the good side, I'm with my Mom, and on the bad side, I don't feel too safe in the area we're in. If you were considering moving to Willowbrook, I would say steer clear from the downtown area.
I work from home, but I do know that a lot of people that are living in Willowbrook work in Los Angeles. Not to say the commute would be easy! Not with the traffic around the Southern California area. Be prepared to hear sirens a lot of the time, and I mean a lot! There has been some gang activity here, and the cops are always very active, both day or night.
There is George Washington Carver Park though, and I do love spending time there during late afternoons. They have a basketball court that stays lit up at night, and even an arts and crafts room. It really is one of my favorite things in the city.
