Wheeling, Illinois: A Great Family City

I've been living in Wheeling for a few years now and so far, it's been a really enjoyable city to live in. I like to go running at night, and I've found that one of the best areas in Wheeling for enjoying the outdoors is Potawatomi Woods, which is right up against a river that runs through the city.

There's a good selection of restaurants to choose from, including some great pizza places and a good seafood restaurant too. There's plenty of places where you can grab a fresh cup of coffee as well. Owning a home is slightly more expensive in Wheeling than the state average, but when you factor in the crime rate is much lower, it's certainly worth it.

There isn't much in the way of public transportation, so having your own car will help a lot. The city does have a good amount of grocery stores and shopping options though, so you won't have to drive too far at least.
