I moved to Wheaton, Maryland from North Carolina a few years ago and as much as it feels like home to me, I am just not sure I want this particular town to be my forever home. Since I moved here the neighbors have been absolutely wonderful, but everything else just doesn't brighten my life in any way, shape, or form. Granite the National Mall, International Spy Museum and Brookside Gardens are great places to go, you can only visit them so many times before boredom sets in. I have two children in my home and I constantly struggle trying to find fun things for us to do on the weekends that we haven't already done. I guess for now we are just grateful that the community is so wonderful. We all treat each other like family and lend a helping hand wherever it is needed. Having a teenager in your home and living in Wheaton is by far the most difficult task. Especially when they have a shopping addiction. Even though there was not a lot of "in town" shops, the mall offered her enough shopping opportunities to keep her busy for the time being. Some of her favorites are Claire's, Bubbles, Crazy 8, and DSW. In my perspective the mall is also great because of it's large varieties of restaurants. There is everything from Chipolte's to out of this world Thai food. I have honestly never had an issue trying to find a good place to eat in Wheaton because there is a wide variety of places to go out. Outside of the mall there are some "mom and pops" restaurants that I have heard are great, but I have not had the opportunity to visit them yet.
