I absolutely love living in Washington, Missouri. This community is built on the banks of the Missouri river and is known as the corncob pipe capital of the world. This little town has a ton of history in its roots.
Both of my children go to Augusta Elementary here and they love it. The area is safe and their school is upgraded so no concerns about safety there. The people here are overall friendly and it is a family friendly town. Many of the residents here have been here their entire lives.
The best areas in Washington, Missouri are the parks. A few are situated right on the banks of the Missouri River. There are a few trails and paths for walks and bike rides. There are a few hidden gems here such as the quaint coffee shop downtown and some cute specialty boutiques. If you need more than just the basics, you can easily commute to St. Louis for larger shopping trips or even for a day of more entertainment options.
