Visalia, CA
Visalia is a quiet city located in Tulare County, California. It is mostly an agricultural town that enjoys moderate weather. The summers tend to be long, starting in April and lasting through to October. The hottest months in the year are June, July, and August. Generally, the city is not prone to precipitation, and it only rains a few days a year.
Although it has a small-town feel to it, Visalia also boasts of many big-city amenities. There are several colleges and universities located in the city, including Chapman University, Brandman University, Milan Institute, and the San Joaquin Valley College. The public schools in the area are also quite good and rank higher than the national average.
The cost of living in Visalia is higher than the national average. It is, however, modest by California standards. Homes in the area are reasonably priced, although rent rates fall on the upper side of the country’s average. One outstanding facility is the ImagineU Interactive Children’s Museum, where kids pretend to be different professionals, such as doctors and paleontologists, for the day. There is also a Chinese Cultural Center where visitors learn and celebrate Chinese culture. Additionally, there are numerous noteworthy restaurants in the city’s downtown area where delicious food made with the freshest ingredients is served. The natural attractions in the area are also diverse, the most notable being the Mist Falls in the King’s Canyon National Park.
Visalia is a great place to live in for people of all ages. It offers excellent amenities, numerous employment opportunities, and beautiful scenery. If you are all for preserving the environment, then you will also love living here as it is one of the most environment-conscious cities.
