Vernal Utah: A Lovable Oil Field Town 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I had a lovely experience while living in Vernal Utah. The city is Vernal is in the midst of Uintah County, which is in northeastern Utah. Vernal is 25 minutes away from Colorado. It is closest to Naples Utah. The town has schools in place that trail behind in academic scores. Pe ...Read More ople that relocate here will find adequate employment rather quickly. The housing market has had its ups and down recently, but there is availability. Living in the town will not impact your budget negatively, and streets are mostly crime-free. The weather is nice.

Some of the best areas in Vernal Utah surround downtown Main Street. This area houses most of the retail venues in town. The city is an old oil town, with a large agriculture presence. It is known for its pink national dinosaur monument near the city entrance. It is dedicated to the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo, which is a rodeo event held in Vernal every July. The local community is very likable and charming. Vernal is a great place to live and raise a family. Read Less
