Ugly vibe on Hudson Street User Rating 2 rating By Anonymous ( Mar 11, 2023) We have had our apartment on Selkirk St. burglarized repeatedly over the years and the police do nothing. I guess accurate crime stats would be embarrassing.
During the pandemic, my girlfriend, who was living on EI due to a layoff, had to park her car on Hudson Street for a few w ...Read More eeks. A local resident broke her car window, claiming that her car alarm was defective and going off (her alarm has never had any trouble while parked on Selkirk St.) If this story were true, they could have called the police and had them contact her by tracing her plates. but instead, no one came forward to take responsibility for the crime, and instead, they got the police to give her a ticket she could ill afford for parking on the street. According to a note left by the perpetrator, a couple of locals were in on the crime.
She got phone calls from several residents following the incident, but none of these ugly people did anything to help identify the perp, or to make up for the cost of having her car window fixed.
A conspiracy of nasty, low-class folks.
Don't live on Hudson Street if you have any sense of neighbourliness or fairness. You will feel very alone. Read Less
