You're In The Roses In Thomasville, Ga. User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) I was raised in Thomasville, Ga. and my family has been here for several generations. Southern Georgia is known for it's mild but humid temperatures year round. The cost of living is low with housing cost being reasonable. There is plenty of shopping in the area, so most of what ...Read More I need is close by. The schools in the area need to upscale and bring their education to a higher standard. Just over 20% of our graduates go on to college and get a degree. Career level jobs are hard to find here so we have a high poverty level in the area.

We take pride in our cooking and our roses. We have a dedicated Thomasville Rose Garden with an annual rose festival. The yearly Taste Of Thomasville Food Tour showcases the finest in southern cooking and is a huge area hit. A historic drive by landmark is the huge live oak tree that is over 325 years old and 160 feet tall. Read Less
