Syracuse: A Pleasant Salt Lake City Suburb 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) Syracuse is a nice, safe city just north of Salt Lake City. I've been living in Syracuse for two years now and I've enjoyed it so far. You won't find too much in the way of entertainment like you'd see in a bigger city but Syracuse has its perks. If you like to spend time outdoors, Syracuse is a place you'll like. Thurston Peak, which is about 7,000 feet tall, is very close and a great place to go hiking. There are also a lot of parks inside the city as well if you prefer something a little less exhilarating.

There isn't much of a selection in terms of shopping and restaurants go. For that, you'll probably have to go to a neighboring town or drive to Salt Lake City. Syracuse is more about a relaxed lifestyle than living in an urban jungle. It's a good choice for people who enjoy a quiet life. Read Less
