      Sunnyvale, CA

Silicon Valley is known for technological innovation, startups and extreme wealth. It’s comprised of eight cities that attract people who want to experience the finest California living. Sunnyvale is a gem in the valley. It has everything people need to live such as beautiful homes, a booming job market and plenty of entertainment.

Surfers and beach bums enjoy the city because of its close proximity to some of the most gorgeous beaches in the state. Weekenders can go fishing, hiking, tanning or swimming to take their mind off their troubles and bond with family and friends. Those who prefer to avoid the sandy environments can stroll down Murphy Avenue in Sunnyvale’s downtown district instead to enjoy brunch spots, independent retail stores and nightlife venues. The scenic historical buildings paint a lovely scene that is reminiscent of simpler times. Indeed, most residents have little to worry about since the city boasts one of the lowest occurrences of crime in the United States.

Sunnyvale is home to several giant companies that attract some of the brightest people around. Google, Apple, LinkedIn and Yahoo are four of the biggest employers in the area. Those interested in relocating to this city can expect educated and professional neighbors who have a traditional mindset and welcoming demeanor. Tech geeks are abundant, but people with any type of interest can find their niche. In fact, Sunnyvale is less than an hour away from popular San Francisco and its thriving music and art scene. Travelers can drive or take the Caltrain commuter rail if they desire to explore the hub of Northern California and easily return to Sunnyvale, which has fewer crowds and no homeless people.

Sunnyvale also wouldn’t be a prominent town in the region without bicycle paths. Residents can soak up the sun and warm weather by getting around by bike. It’s a must for eco-conscious people who care about staying healthy. Of course, it does rain occasionally, so they can also take the bus or light rail to get around as well. Transportation is affordable, but the cost of living is on the high side compared to other parts of the state. Home prices can surpass one million dollars, but the price is worth it for affluent people who want to surround themselves with luxury.

There is no shortage of nature in Sunnyvale. Residents can find not one but two premium golf courses as well as Baylands Park, a sprawling 70-acre public haven that overlooks a wetland preserve. Residents, therefore, have the beauty of native California practically in their backyard.

It’s not easy to find employment or afford a home in Sunnyvale. Those who do stay for a long time.

Sunnyvale, CA - A Great Community
On my frequent trips to Silicon Valley, I always feel the urge to go somewhere new. Since, Sunnyvale is close to San Jose, I always visit my friend, an officer in US Air Force. His home is located in Birdlane district, where streets are named after native birds. Most of the city of Sunnyvale is residential area therefore you won't find many tall buildings.

There are a number of interesting things to do and attractions in Sunnyvale. The one attraction that comes to mind is the Sunnyvale Historical Museum. It is a fantastic local history museum, that is free I might add, that offers a number of unique interesting facts and sights all related to Sunnyvale.

Sunnvale is known for it's vibrant community where the majority of the population is of Asian background. These professionals mostly work for high-tech companies. Although house prices are steep as compared to rest of Silicon Valley, it is most likely because Sunnyvale is considered one of the safest cities in America. There are lots of good restaurants in the city of Sunnyvale, which unlike most nearby cities, offer variety. If you have some cash to spend, I really recommend buying a home in Sunnyvale.
