extremely hipster, but living in Stockbridge, GA gives you access to Atlanta without dealing with all of the traffic. Driving to Atlanta takes a little over half an hour in normal traffic, and since you have a choice between staying on 42 or getting on 58A to enter the city, you've got some pretty decent highway choice.
The best areas in Stockbridge, GA are between Red Oak and Creekwood Estates, where you can access all of the best restaurants along Lake Spivey Parkway. Lake Spivey itself is a beautiful area, and the houses are absolutely stunning.
For the prices, you get a lot more house for your investment than in Atlanta proper and a lot more decorative flair than other Atlanta-area cities. It's great living here, and the surrounding area only adds to the international culture within Southern comfort.
