Review St. Marys
Great Small Town - Close to Everything
I love living here. It's the best parts of living in a small town - no traffic, friendly people, local events and restaurants and the feeling of being in a neighborhood. And with Jacksonville, FL only 30 minutes away, it's perfect for getting to all the big city stuff without having the daily traffic that comes with big cities. St. Marys is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and a great place to live.

St. Marys, Georgia
Living in St. Marys means you get to be closer to Florida. I don't take anything away from the state of Georgia, but to most St. Marys isn't a place where you would settle for the rest of your life. A lot of folks live here for a period of their life, and the ratings will show you why.
For one the job market is weak in this area. You will not, I repeat, will not become rich working a 9-5 in St. Marys. Along with the job market, there also aren't a lot of activities to do here. Crime has been an issue for some time, and although there are plans to combat these issues, not much has changed.
You can find some newer homes for decent prices out on Osprey Circle, as well as Gary Circle. I guarantee this city is not as bad as some will make it out to be. Sometimes just staying to yourself and working is the key to survival. For me, I just live and enjoy the view.
