d issued a $275 speeding ticket for an unposted speed limit in an unposted speed zone without the cop ever saying a word. We've since googled "St. Ann, MO" (try it!) and discovered that "police department" and "traffic ticket" are the top suggested searches. Apparently the town makes it money on speeding tickets, not an appealing business district. Avoid if you can.
