Certain stores are certainly missed such as 16 Acres Friendly's. Other places have sprung up most notably Wings Over Springfield. Sixteen Acres Library, Green Leaf Park and the Big Y at Fresh ...Read More Acres are great amenities. Sixteen Acres Garden Center is awesome. The local college, Western New England University adds to the overall desirability of living here. In the Allen-Cooley area of 16 Acres is a complex of shops and stores that cater to every want and need. Bicentennial Highway has the Riverbend Medical facility with a Plaza with specialty shops. Fast food springs up in that area as well. Many different churches can be found for spiritual nourishment. Suburban drives North Branch and South Branch Parkways bisect 16 Acres and connect it to the city. Wilbraham Rd. Winds down to State St./Mason Square and up to the beauty of Wilbraham Center. In the northeast corner exists a conservation area for walking and enjoyment of Mother nature. Read Less
