Home Sweet Spanaway User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I lived in Spanawag for a few years with my family while my step-father was serving in the army. Everyday we would go outside and ride our bikes through the neighborhood as new construction was taking place. Most neighbors were super nice, and always looked out for us while my pa ...Read More rents were busy or at work.

They’d built a brand new Walmart Supercenter right Neighborhood, and there was a classic styled McDonalds we frequented. From what I can recall, it was a great place to live. Even the winters were that bad, and school was a joy. Perfect attendance a few times even.

All in all, Spanaway is pretty diverse, and it’s people really care about the community. In recent years there have been an increase in drugs and violence, but for the most part it’s pretty residential. There are tons of shopping centers and off the cuff shops. The city is spread out though, so having a car is a must. Something we always made sure of. Read Less
