Although I am a person who loves to travel and keep moving around to new places, I have found that I my desire to leave South Whittier is small. The reasons who I like the small town so much is because of its location, ...Read More culture, weather, and because there is always something to do in the area. Bottom line being, South Whittier is simply a convenient place to live.
South Whittier is located just south of the city of Whittier which is a small suburb of Los Angeles California. This of course makes for one of the biggest pros of living in this area. The drive from South Whittier to Los Angeles is no more than thirty minutes on a good, non-traffic, time of the day. It is not only short, but also a beautiful drive where a combination of desert and grape farms soon runs into the bustling city and then the Pacific Ocean.

South Whittier has mild weather year round. So if you are someone who does not like the cold winter winds and snow, this is the perfect place for you. Most the year I can pull off a t-shirt and shorts during the day. Of course, this makes for great sun-tanning conditions. My friends and I often gather on my rooftop to sip martinis and get get some healthy vitamin D while we are at it.

Being close to a city, South Whittier has all of the proper conveniences. You can find just about any type of store you want right within the city limits. This includes a large variety of grocery stores, clothing outlets, and much, much more.

With a relatively small population, South Whittier is the perfect place to stay close to the city and all of its pros, yet get a little bit away from the business and bustle. Read Less
