Just avoid the trailer park and it's a great town to raise a family in! Median household income is extremely high with a good graduation rate for high schoolers, plus a whopping 80% lower crime rate ...Read More compared to the rest of the state. The weather's not too bad, either.

There are plenty of businesses all across the city, including places like Tim Hortons. One of the best areas in South Lyon has to be Pinz Bowling Center, though, since nothing beats an authentic bowling alley (with authentic bowling alley food).

With everything this nice, there are some downsides to expect. For one, the cost of living in South Lyon is understandably a bit high compared to other cities. Housing costs are similar, making it a bit troublesome to initially find a place to live though a good investment overall when planning for yours and your family's futures. Read Less
