The city has the usual hustle and bustle of any city, but it is of a sl ...Read More ower pace. Although the city is somewhat big, the community is still close knit. There are so many community organized programs available here for the citizens of South El Monte. From hot lunches, to senior citizens programs, to the recreational centers; there is always something to do here at South El Monte, CA.

One of the best places to visit here in South El Monte, is the Progress Brewery. The brewery offers taste testing and dining. If you are an outdoors person like myself, then you will love to visit both the Legg Lake Park and Camarillo. Both locations give residents the ability to enjoy nature and the outdoors with activities that are attractive to families as well as couples. The dining and shopping is great here also, plus you have the advantage of going to downtown Los Angeles; which happens to be just -minutes away. Living in South El Monte, CA has been a win-win for me. I have the joys of city life and a great community behind me. Read Less
