Snowflake is a delightful town. Strong influences from the Pioneer West, Old Mexico, Navajo, Hopi and White Mountain Apache. Very strong schools, patriotic, safe at all hours. The community is committed to the arts, the Orchestra and Theater are fixtures with many gifted performers. 10 minutes away from rugged canyon hiking with genuine, ancient petroglyphs. Bitz n Pizzas has some of the best pies in the state and Ava's is a South-of-the-Border treat for the whole family. I grew up in Snowflake, left when I joined the Army. I have lived in Texas, Georgia, the National Capital Region, Kansas, various locations in SW Asia and am currently in Alaska; without exception, Snowflake is the warmest, most welcoming place I have ever been, and I have loved nearly every place I've lived. Great place for kids to grow up.
