Small Town, Big Fun

I've lived in Shakopee all my life. I didn't really appreciate all my town had to offer when I was growing up. Who does, though? Now that I'm an adult, living in the small town of Shakopee is pretty amazing. First you have the great community. The town isn't so small that you feel like everyone knows everyone else's business, but it is small enough that I feel safe letting my children play in the backyard. I know not everyone has that luxury, but living in Shakopee, my family and I do. Besides the low crime rate and kindness of the locals, there is a surprising amount of thins to do for a town this size. There are restaurants, a pretty great library system, and my personal favorite, valley fair. I can take my kids out for a day of fun without having to travel to a huge city. As a parent, I'm thankful to live in a place as quaint as Shakopee.
