Nice and Safe Community User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 06, 2024) Shafter is a Nice and Safe Family-Oriented Community,and also very Walkable/Bikeable when you need to go Shopping,Dining or even going to get a Haircut,and we also have a good amount of Parks to exercise at or just enjoy.

If you are looking for anything, it can be found off of the Santa Fe Way. A great barbershop for men and women alike would have to be the Pinedes Barbershop. They will assist you in every way, and they have fair prices. I know the park system is decent, I spend some days walking my dog and reading at Richland Park.

For someone with a large family, especially younger children, Shafter may not be that bad. The only issue is once they get older, they will want to move and see more things than what Shafter has to offer. All in all this is a good place to live though. Read Less
