After reading the review of Seaside, Oregon, I had add the reality check. This is a tourist town. Jobs are seasonal, low paying and scarce in the off season. It rains a lot in the fall, winter and spring. Rents are outrageous and most places are very small and mostly dumps. Shopping is VERY limited. One has to drive to Warrenton or Astoria to get any variety in shops. Many local shops close after the summer season ends - again this is a tourist town. It is a difficult place to live in full time. If you are retired and can afford a house here, you will do fine. Just be prepared for the rain and wind during the fall and winter.
