Scotts valley is to much of an expensive place to live. Not to mention the lack of full time jobs around. Probably 75% of people I know work over in San Jose and have to drive 40 minuets there and back for work. The average rent is 2,000$, they need to make it around 600-800$ a m ...Read More
onth, and more family homes around 200,000$. We have a few homes that are around that price but not enough. The cops here are some of the worst cops I’ve ever seen. The community here is also terrible. Not to mention there is literally nothing to do in Scotts Valley. It’s a terrible place to raise your kids. There is no night life, I don’t even think there is a single bar in the area.

Watch out for the local police across the street from the RV park! We were pulled over turning out of the Santa Cruz Ranch RV Resort for tinted windows by a cop in training... ruined our weekend. Have fun. Beautiful area. ...Read More

Scotts Valley, California is a fabulous place to call home! We have the best of both worlds living close to the Santa Cruz Mountains with San Jose south of us and Santa Cruz north! There's beautiful scenery to see here and it's a truly unique and original place to set down roots. ...Read More
My favorite place to visit is the gravity hill called the Mystery Spot. We also have the Redwoods State Park for camping and hiking, and a great lake for fishing! There are other fun things to do here too such as golfing and the Roaring Camp Railroads!
The Redwood Sandwich Company is one of my all time favorite eateries, but I also like to enjoy some authentic Indian cuisine at Ambrosia India Bistro. There are specialty shops aplenty especially for souvenirs and t-shirts in the downtown area which also has lots of little mom and pop cafes with traditional American food.
Jobs are growing here especially in the tourist industry. Hotels, tours, and tourist attractions are always looking for new help since Scotts Valley is not only a great place to live but also to visit!
