I have lived in Sauk Village, Illinois for almost 30 years and think this is a great place to live! People here are really friendly, the cost of living isn't too high, the job market is expanding, and the school district is one of the bests in the entire state of Illinois.
There's plenty to do here too. Whether you are the outdoorsy type of person that enjoys exploring nature on walks or hiking on trails, or if you tend to be more of the kind that likes to stay indoors with bowling, there is always something fun to do in Sauk Village.
One of my personal favorites is to go to Hometown Gyros. These specialty Greek treats are made with lamb and a special garlic sauce wrapped in a pita. The ones at Hometown are the best that I have ever had anywhere! My other is spending the day at the Plaza to shop. Whether I am window shopping or have money to spend, it's a great day when I go there!
