Great beaches, no high rises, laid back, and expensive. Lots of timeshares, bike friendly. Two grocery stores, Bailey's and Jerry's, and a CVS. Not much in the way of nightlife. A basic condo starts at about half a million. Wonderful library, and great farmers market. No stop lights, no big box stores. Autumn is storm time. Dec. to March traffic is heavy. Bring your credit cards, leave your attitude and fancy clothes at home. Khaki slacks and a polo shirt is dressy. Ladies, visiting or moving to Sanibel, you won't need eight pair of shoes to flourish on island time.
