This place is horrible! Worst city I’ve lived in to this date & I’ve lived in a few in the course of my life. The restaurants here are mediocre at best! The only shopping is at big corporate places like target, Marshall’s. The small, local businesses offer nothing. You lite ...Read More
rally have to drive 20 minutes or more to a different city to get better options. The homeless problem, though not as bad as San Fran or Oakland, is an issue. I had a homeless person throw a rock at my window which was unprovoked, I had homeless bothering me on a daily basis trying to case my vehicle. Cops don’t show up for stuff like that. If they do it’s 4 hours after the fact. People trying to fight store clerks, people in parking lots screaming like banchees. This place sucks. Go somewhere else! Danville, Ramon, Rafael. Anywhere but here! The only thing good about this area is the marina park & lake chabot.

San Leandro, CA was one of the destinations on my California trip in late 2008. Overall, I was very pleased with the excellent golfing and shopping in San Leandro. San Leandro is a fine mix between small city and waterfront town with a gorgeous Marina, four shopping centers and a ...Read More
fair selection of restaurants.
San Leandro will really shine for fans of golf. I was thrilled to visit the Tony Lema Course at Monarch Bay. The beautiful Tony Lema Course features breath taking views of the San Francisco bay from every single hole and is the second largest course in California. The Marina Course at Monarch Bay is another great course featuring a great fairway lined with beautiful trees. Golfing is not the only thing to do in San Leandro although it may be the best thing to do.
The Marina Square mall provides an ample shopping experience with a nice food court. The Westgate center is another of the four malls in San Leandro that also provides a rich shopping experience. San Leandro does not offer much in the way or nature or family activities. The two bowling centers in San Leandro are as close as you'll get to a family activity. San Leandro will make a great stop for golf fans or those just looking for a quiet getaway. San Leandro does not offer much for those looking for a nightlife or a family destination.
