Great place to live...if you're rich User Rating 4.5 rating By OctoberRose ( Sep 27, 2014) La Jolla is like the Beverly Hills of San Diego. If you aren't a Doctor, or don't make upwards of 70k a year, you probably won't be very comfortable here. Talk about expensive. The beaches are amazing, probably the best in San Diego. So many great little secret spots on the beach ...Read More to scope out where you're away from other people. Tons of upper class restaurants to choose from. The entire area just has that rich vibe to it. I'm sure you could live there with a regular job if you had a few roommates or something but this place is pretty coveted for a reason. Read Less
