San Ghetto says it all. Geographically in the middle of nowhere and with good reason. They sent a scout when they were laying out the interstates and after looking around said "Oh hell no". ...Read More

Perhaps you've heard the phrase, "Don't mess with Texas!" True, Texans stick to their guns, but more often than not are willing to help you in any way possible. When I visited San Angelo this past year, I was incredibly impressed with the open friendliness of Texans. The weather ...Read More
in San Angelo is also almost always sunny and warm.
I found the nightlife of San Angelo and wider Texas to be amazing, upbeat, and charming. There are a bunch of places to go out in San Angelo for nightlife purposes. Some great, truly "Texan" places to check out are Cattleman's Club, Oasis Lounge, Steel Penny Pub, and Santa Fe Junction. These are some of the best places for some country tunes and dancing.
Even though the city of San Angelo has an upbeat nightlife, it is still a very family-oriented community. Most of Texas is family-oriented, however, as Texas tends to lean more conservatively in a political way. There are many great private schools in the area for children, that are not too expensive. Many of these are Lutheran or Catholic schools, however. There also many great Universities in the area and near by if you have teens gearing up for higher education.
Overall, San Angelo is a fun upbeat city that is also great for families!
