I recently had the opportunity to spend several nights in Round Rock, Texas. Round Rock is approximately 15 miles north of Austin on Interstate 35, right in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Round Rock boasts a wide variety of dining and lodging choices lined up and down both sides of Interstate 35. However, Navigating Round Rock can be tricky as there have been some major construction projects on some of the major roads that cross the interstate in recent years.
Round Rock's population has exploded over the last two decades, offering everything from small town businesses to large corporations with a variety of restaurants and shopping. The population of the city of Round Rock is now over 100,000. One of the main attractions in Round Rock is the sprawling Round Rock Premium Outlets Mall with over 125 brand name outlet stores. Sports enthusiasts would enjoy visiting Dell Diamond to take in a professional baseball game. Dell Diamond is home of the Round Rock Express, the AAA affiliate of Major League Baseball's Houston Astros. Round Rock is also the home of information technology giant Dell Inc.
