Redmond, OR: My Home User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 06, 2021) I've been living here my entire life. Over the course of these 18 years, prices for housing have shot through the roof (no pun intended), and many people have been moving to Central Oregon. The influx of people has made traffic and infrastructure terrible, and the tax dollars we ...Read More pay do not go to benefit any of this.
However, I love living here because the community is friendly, and the people here always try to help out with schools and fundraisers for different events. Political and social protests on either conservative or liberal sides are always peaceful, even to people who don't agree with their views.
Another reason why I don't want to leave Central Oregon (apart from my family living here) is that there are many places to hike and explore and walk. Th
...Read More e local job market is fairly limited and the city itself is pretty basic, so if you're looking for an urban lifestyle, Redmond isn't for you. What it can offer you, however, is the chance to have a peaceful, relaxing life without worrying about the hustle and bustle of a big city.

Without a doubt, the best area in Redmon is Mount Washington. It's not a far drive from downtown and words can't adequately describe it. If you're not yet ready to scale a mountain, the forest is still large enough that you can spend every weekend for years exploring it, and still not discover every corner. Read Less
