Georgia continues to rise in national esteem as both a place of innovation and southern transformation, but a lot of cities are overshadowed by Atlanta and Savannah. Redan deserves some love.

Redan is little over 20 minutes outside of Atlanta during normal traffic, and the rent is a bit lower. It's not quite the outskirts pricing that one would have expected a decade ago, but the prices are still great for what you could get paid in the surrounding area.

For me, it's all about being able to keep a steady internet connection for work and not being stuck with bland food. Living in Redan will deliver Jamaican food, a karaoke bar, wing spots, and good fish without going too far.

The best areas in Redan are around Shadow Rock Drive near the country club and near Village Oak Lake with the restaurants. You don't have to go far to reach other smaller living areas near Atlanta, such as Stone Mountain, Decatur, and Pointe Bleue.
