Living in Prattville, Alabama is a way of life that combines all that is best about country life with the amenities of urban living. The cost of living is low, there are plenty of housing options and lots of recreational, historical and artistic activities to enjoy. As Prattville is only a few miles from Montgomery, the capital of Alabama, many people such as myself choose to live in Prattville even though we may work in Montgomery.
Maxwell Air Force Base and downtown Montgomery, where many state offices are located, are only 15 minutes from Prattville. Besides business and work, there are lots of nearby entertainment options for residents, such as the Montgomery Zoo, the Prattville Park Splash Pad, the Montgomery YMCA, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and several rivers and lakes. Indoor and outdoor opportunities abound.
Convenient health care and great schools are another reason why I like living in Prattville, as many physicians have dual offices in both Montgomery and Prattville. Prattville also has an excellent school system. Work, school and play - these are all great reasons to choose Prattville as your residence.
