Hazelwood: a changing neighborhood User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 19, 2018) I think long-term (a decade or more) Hazelwood will see gentrification and an increase in real estate value because we are only 15 minutes from downtown. Current challenges, which are severe, and includes crime such as illegal camping and drug use and burglaries, unkempt properti ...Read More es, dangerous traffic and a roving homeless population, will eventually work itself out, especially if we can see new market rate housing units and attractive retail businesses move in. We have become an all-services center for the homeless and disadvantaged, with detrimental consequences for local residents. Read Less
