Most people are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so there isn't much nightlife in Orem. A lot of families live in Orem. There isn't a lot of crime and the city is incredibly clean. If you enjoy learning about LDS history, there are some interesting pioneer homes that you can visit. Near Orem is Timpanogos Cave National Monument, which has guided tours of several caves. Also, Utah Lake is near Orem. Utah Lake is a good place for fishing, boating, water-skiing, etc...

When we are visiting, my family likes to go to Terra Mia Restaurant for pizza. It is inexpensive, delicious, casual and perfect for families. Read Less
