I've been living in Olive Branch, which is very close to the Tennessee border, for a while now. The city itself is great to live, and I don't have many complaints about it. The closest city is Memphis, and besides that is has a small town vibe in a good way.
The city itself is affluent and has a high standard of living. The cost of living, average income, and real estate prices are all well above the average for the rest of Missouri. You're likely to find a good job here in Olive Branch, but may be better off in a different city if you'd like to continue your education.
The variety of shopping and restaurants leaves a little be desired, besides the local Walmart. Instead, Olive Branch has a number of parks and three country clubs to choose from. The Olive Branch Country Club and the adjoining park is the best area in Olive Branch in my opinion.
