It is conveniently located so that you have the luxuries and conveniences of the city without having to compromise a safe and harmonious community. North Aurora's dining, shopping and nightlife are good as well. The city is, as it's name implies, just north of Aurora which means that it is close to malls and major shopping centers. The city is also just about an hour's drive away from Chicago, where the dining, shopping and nightlife options are seemingly endless.

The weather in North Aurora is comparable to the rest of the Midwest or Illinois itself. The winters can be brutally cold and snowy, and the summers are usually hot and humid. It is worth noting that North Aurora is subject to tornadoes in the spring and summer seasons, being that it is close to if not directly in the nation's tornado alley.

Overall, North Aurora is a decent place to raise a family and definitely a more inexpensive option to Chicago or the rest of Cook County. Come to North Aurora if you want to be near the city and not have to pay out the nose for living expenses. Read Less
