Overall a nice place to live. However, for full-time residents it is very difficult to find reliable, responsive, and reasonably priced contractors to work on your home. They are either way over-pricing themselves or coming from the valley and you are last on their list. Hint to ...Read More

Newport is a lovely town, with lots of local charm. The ocean views are beautiful, the greenery is lush and foresty. However, there is a huge amount of homeless and tweakers. Very unfortunate. It's very much a tourist town so there's lots of fun things to do but only if you're wi ...Read More
lling to spend a good amount of cash. For locals, things get old pretty quick, and the cost of living is only good if you have a good income. Lots of people are low income though, and can't afford much of anything around here. People don't know how to drive unless it's sunny and warm outside, which is rare. The violence and crime rates are pretty high, too.
