e Tri-city area. What I like about the city is its proximity to the San Francisco Bay.
The city's rich history dates back to the era of English and European empire. The name of the city comes from the Newark Castle in Port Glasgow in Scotland. The city was once home to the Ohlone Native Americans too. History buffs will find a lot of museums and regional parks in Newark, California. Some of the popular museums are the Tech Museum of Innovation, Coyote Hills Regional Park and the USS Hornet Museum. As my family love outdoor adventures, we often visit the white water rafting center near the Walnut Creek. My nephew and niece love to spend time at the Ardenwood Historic Farm.
Climate in Newark is hot and humid in summer. Sometimes, the summer temperatures can reach up to 107 during peak hours. Winter is mild in Newark with temperature averaging around early 40s to 70s °F.
