New Hope, Minnesota is a northwest suburb of Minneapolis. It is conveniently located close to the city to where you don't have the urban stress and hassle but you still have many of a city's conveniences close by. New Hope is a decent community to live in, though the housing market is in steady decline due to rising home prices and current homeowners beginning to rent their homes to lower income families, which is unfortunately a recipe for the decline of neighborhoods. New Hope has average dining and nightlife options. Most restaurants are franchises, and their are almost no bars. However, the city is close enough to Minneapolis where the nightlife options are much more plentiful which makes the lack of nightlife in New Hope not much of a problem. The city also is home to the Crystal Shopping Center, which is able to meet the shopping needs for people of all ages. Overall, New Hope is a decent community. As for settling down or raising a family there, you might be better off avoiding the inevitable decline of the city and search elsewhere in the twin cities region.
