I truly enjoy living in Navarre Florida because of its natural emerald beach environment and easy laid back community. Military and civil service personnel, along with retirees make up a majority of Navarre's population. The ...Read More panhandle community is situated in Santa Rosa County. This is 15 miles away from Fort Walton Beach, the home of Eglin Air Force Base.

Although the area doesn't have many amenities, Navarre has always been a great area for tourists and nature buffs. Navarre gets great marks on education-it has some of the better test scores in the state of Florida. Housing costs are at moderate market rates, along with the cost of living, which is about proportionate for Florida. Employment is at an all-time high. There are a variety of jobs in the community.

Residents and tourists alike must take an opportunity to visit Navarre Beach which is where Jaws 2 was videotaped. One of the best areas in Navarre is Juana’s Pagodas and Sailors Grill. It is a waterfront restaurant that offers great food and unforgettable entertainment. Read Less
