History Meets Excitement In Mountain Brook 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Many of the attractions and businesses are just outside of the Mountain Brook area, but I enjoy living in the town and have been here for almost three years. It offers a quiet setting instead of the busy streets that you would see in a larger city. The town is located in the sout ...Read More heastern area of Jefferson County with Highway 280 running along the border of the town. This is often a busy road because it takes you to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the Birmingham Zoo. Mountain Brook is a suburb of Birmingham and is somewhat upscale compared to other small towns in this region of the state.

The McWane Science Center is one of my favorite places to visit. It's quirky with fun exhibits and some that are interactive. It's also educational and a good place to take kids to learn about all areas of science. Regions Field is a busy place in the spring and summer as baseball cranks into action. This is where I spend a lot of my time when the weather is warm because of the fan interaction with the players. Read Less
