In the summer of 2008, two years into my dental practice, I decided to be closer to my parents who had recently shifted from an expensive California city to Monroe, LA. After many failed attempts to find a good location to stash my belongings, I finally came to know about West Mo ...Read More
nroe, a beautiful area far from the city's hustle and bustle, where one could relax under the serene nature. I really do not believe that I could have continued to live here, without the convenience the place offers. The community where I reside is close to Ouachita river and I am a big fan of hunting and fishing.
Monroe city has a Civic Center with multiple facilities such as Civic Center Arena which provides a large exhibit space for circuses, banquets, music concerts and other shows for approximately 7,200 people. There are Children Museum, Aviation Military Museum, Northeast Louisiana Delta African-American Heritage Museum, the Masur Museum of Arts and various Heritage centers for museum lovers. The Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo, home for nearly 500 animals and birds offer boat rides and other seasonal activities for all ages.

Spending the time in the mall has been my favorite past time during Saturdays. The Pecanland Mall, the largest mall in the Northern part of Louisiana, that houses JC Penny, Sears, Burlington Coat Factory and many other anchor stores shuffle their collections every week to attract customers. The mall also has movie theater along with food and center court.
