Minto was by far a favorite place to live in Alaska. The community is so kind and always trying to help one another. If there is a problem between two people it will be resolved quickly, thankfully to the tribal council. The council works hard to take care of their community, people and nature. The community has events where everyone will go around the village picking up trash and watering nature. Their post office is tiny but the mail woman is great! One small store (when I was living there) that had many basics.
A down side is having to travel to Fairbanks to get groceries and other shopping needs.
