Downtown Mint Hill is slow growing. It does need a bit of local growth. If Mint Hill can keep out Big Box, hire a designer that knows how to build a small (full of unique character) downtown and does NOT let in Cookie Cutter Developments build, it will be a cute small area. Mint Hill has one shot to build a cute downtown, ONE SHOT!. Mint Hill has already made a few big mistakes buy letting one cookie cutter build their garage houses. I hope they stop letting them build and push them out or Mint Hill will look like the rest of Charlotte and just be another bland town.

Mint Hill was a nice place to live if you like living in a small town, but it's difficult there to really find a great job because of its size. I was living in Mint Hill for a bit but decided to move away. It's a very small town to live in and has few opportunities for high-paying work or education. It is, however, ideal for folks looking for an affordable city in which to settle down or retire.

You also will find limited options for shopping, recreation, and restaurants. The downtown area has a few places, but you might be driving to neighboring towns to find everything you need. The residents here are very friendly though, and I always appreciated that. Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park is a relaxing and beautiful place to visit in town, and I personally think it's the best area in Mint Hill. Overall, it is a very nice small southern city.
