Minnetonka, MN - I Miss It Already! User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 23, 2012) I lived in Minnetonka for three years before I moved back to New York City. During my experience there, there was always a lot to do in Minnetonka. On top of that, Minnetonka is only 8 miles west of Minneapolis, so you have easy access to a city without all of the crime associate ...Read More d with it.

During my time there, I explored over 23 of Minnetonka's 49 total community parks. The majority of the parks that I went too were absolutely stunning. Minnesota has a lot of beautiful wildlife even in their cities. Their spas there were truly relaxing. I highly recommend that you visit one if you plan on going to Minnetonka because the experience wouldn't be complete otherwise.

Another place that you must visit in Minnetonka is lake Minnetonka. Minnesota is famous for their lakes. Called the Land of 10,000 lakes and most of their lakes are incredibly beautiful. Lake Minnetonka, has all these beautiful mansions on the lake that will stun you. One of the many mansions belongs to the Heinz Ketchup CEO. Minnetonka is a land of abundance and beauty that few cities can compete with.

The nightlife is fantastic because you only live 8 miles west of Minneapolis and you are also close to St. Paul and the other bigger cities of the Metropolitan area. If you can't find something to do on a Friday night, then you need to start thinking of more hobbies. There are always different conventions in town, and many beautiful malls nearby. The Mall of America which used to be the biggest in the United States is located in Minneapolis but close enough to Minnetonka to be mentioned.

I really enjoyed my stay because the people were friendly, and the area was so beautiful. I would highly recommend people to stay in the city of Minnetonka if that is what they are considering. Read Less
